Yirla is a Mexico-born, Texas-raised entrepreneur who has found her calling in Oregon. With a rich background spanning over 12 years, she has harnessed her strategic expertise in partnership building, economic development, and public policy to champion sustainable growth for underrepresented communities. Yirla's leadership journey includes pivotal roles at the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen, the Women's Business Center, and the March of Dimes, where she worked to bridge gaps between communities, non-profits, and businesses to achieve shared objectives. Beyond her formal positions, she is an active member of the Organization of Women Executives and the Junior League of McAllen, where she promotes voluntarism, cultivates leadership, and contributes to the betterment of the community.

Luz was born and raised in Salem by immigrant parents, and graduated from Sprague High School before earning her Bachelor’s degree from Willamette University. She began her career in Portland, where her role in Congress sparked her passion for community-driven leadership. Over the years, Luz helped lead 55 initiatives across Oregon and California, gaining deep experience in operations, growth, and team-building. She later served as executive director for two nonprofits in East Portland, where she sharpened her skills in organizational development and equity-centered leadership. Today, she is the founder of Reyna Consulting Group — a strategy and management firm that partners with social impact businesses and community-centered organizations across the West Coast.
